About Sophie Eisentraut

Dr. Sophie Eisentraut was a transatlantic post-doctoral fellow at GMF in Washington, DC. She conducted research on the legitimacy and reform of international organizations, specifically on the challenges to effective multilateral cooperation that arise from the (re-)emergence of non-Western powers. Sophie was a transatlantic post-doctoral fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs and a research associate at the Global Governance research unit at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. At the WZB, she was involved in the Contested World Orders project, which analyzed normative differences and conflicts underlying the evolution of world order. Sophie holds a PhD from Free University Berlin and was a visiting researcher at Cornell University.
