Laura Rosenberger and Jamie Fly appeared on C-Span’s “Washington Journal” to discuss efforts to prevent foreign influence on social media platforms.

On September 5, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee, which focused on Russian interference in U.S. elections and the use of Twitter and Facebook platforms by foreign operatives. Days later, Laura Rosenberger and Jamie Fly joined C-SPAN’s Jesse Holland to talk about social media influence in U.S. elections, where they point out that while social media companies like Facebook and Twitter have recognized that there is a problem, they are failing to provide specifics on what they need to do to combat the challenge.
