Slovak paramilitary groups reportedly receive combat training from Russian intelligence officers
In May 2017, Eerik-Niiles Kross, former head of Estonia’s intelligence services, stated that Russian military intelligence officers (GRU) provided training to Slovak paramilitary groups, according to EUobserver. The groups mentioned are the Slovak Conscripts and the Slovak Revival Movement. The Slovak Conscripts are a far-right, pro-Russia paramilitary organization. According to Political Capital, the Slovak Revival Movement is a nationalist, right-wing political movement organization with ties to Russian nationalist and paramilitary organizations.
