Microsoft announced that Russia-linked APT28 launched cyberattacks on COVID-19 vaccine makers.

Russian intelligence-linked APT28, or Fancy Bear, is responsible for launching cyberattacks that have targeted online accounts at seven companies researching COVID-19 vaccines and related medication. Microsoft published information about the attacks in the company’s official blog, but did not specify the targeted companies. Microsoft noted that APT28 deployed thousands of rapid login attempts, using password spray and brute force login attempts to steal credentials.
