META (the owners of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) published a report in September 2022 about “Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior,” which outlined several efforts from China and Russia to influence the public discourse in European countries and the U.S. This IFES online discussion will use case studies reports on interference in the U.S. and the Chinese-origin influence operation aimed at manipulating the narrative around the Czech Republic’s foreign policy toward China and Ukraine.
