On November 21, 2017, EU vs Disinfo reported that the Russian state-sponsored media outlet Zvezda published an article on its website titled: “Czechoslovakia should be grateful to the USSR for 1968: The history of ‘the Prague Spring.’” The article claimed that the Prague Spring was actually a NATO-organized coup d’etat, and that Soviet troops rescued Czechoslovakia. The article was edited and later removed after protests from Czech officials.
