During U.S. Vice President Joe Biden’s official visit to Ukraine on November 20-21, 2014, Russia-backed hacktivist group CyberBerkut hacked several Ukrainian government websites and programmed them to display messages representing Biden as a fascist. BBC News reported that CyberBerkut claimed it obtained confidential U.S.-Ukraine military documents in the cyber breach; however, neither Ukrainian nor American officials confirmed that CyberBerkut accessed any sensitive military information.
