On March 20, 2020 the Chinese ambassador to Serbia posted pictures of a new donation of medical equipment on Twitter, showing the brand name He Steel, a Chinese state-owned company and praising Beijing. However, the message omitted to mention that the EU and UNDP has financed and arranged for the flight. Furthermore, the donated equipment was only a small part of the plane’s cargo, with the rest being medical supplies purchased from Chinese manufacturers.
