A Russian UN employee in Kosovo was arrested for attempting to foil a police operation
Police arrested a Russian employee of the UN Mission in Kosovo for attempting to block a police operation against a Serbian-run crime syndicate. The Russian Foreign Ministry defended the employee, accused his counterparts of attacking him, and denounced the incident as a “provocation.” Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaçi said the Russian UN employee was “camouflaged under a diplomatic veil to hamper the police operation.”
