About Isabelle Atkins

Isabelle Atkins is a communications trainee at the Alliance for Securing Democracy at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. Originally from the Washington DC area, she is now a rising fourth year student at the University of Georgia pursuing a major in journalism and a minor in design and media. Isabelle has a passion for blending her interests in storytelling, effective communication, and design to create positive change. While at university, she works for The Red & Black Publishing Company as a writer on the culture desk. She produces articles about the Athens, Georgia community on a weekly deadline. She is currently studying international mass communications in Croatia, where she is learning valuable information and skills from media practitioners in Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Split. While abroad, she is also running the program’s social media accounts in order to promote global educational opportunities to prospective students.
