In the lead up to the 75th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany, the Russian government, including official twitter accounts and other government mouthpieces, began a disinformation campaign accusing Poland of perpetrating crimes during World War II. These accusations include accusing Poland of being an ally of Nazi Germany in 1938 and downplaying the significance of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, none of which assertions are reflected in historical documents.
